Canton, TX is best known for its First Monday Trade Days. But what else is there in Canton? Canton is home to many fun activities for the whole family.
Here are just a few of them:
Yesterland Farm sits on over forty acres and is the perfect place to take your kids for a good time. During the Fall Festival, Yesterland Farm has both a pumpkin patch and a corn maze. There is also an “Amazement Park” with lots of fun attractions like roller coasters, a huge Fun Slide, swings, a Ferris wheel, a carousel, and the Hi-striker. There are petting zoos to pet and feed farm animals, face painting, gemstone mining, pony rides, and even an apple cannon to shoot apples out of. During Halloween, Yesterland Farm turns into Fright Farm, with a creepy corn maze and Swamp Zombie Paint Ball. Walk through the Goblin Glow, a display of creepy jack-o-lanterns, or Chuckles Fun House, the funhouse filled with spooky clowns. At the end of the day, celebrate surviving the night with fireworks for the whole family, then maybe a campfire reservation. Two picnic tables, firewood, and a grill are provided. At Christmastime, enjoy Yesterland Farm’s Christmas Playland, complete with a decked-out Amazement Park, a beautiful Christmas tree farm, photo ops with Santa, and Christmas shops. And you can start your day out with Breakfast With Santa! A Reindeer Pancake Breakfast is served promptly at 9:30 AM. You can choose milk or bottled water for the kiddos, and coffee for Mom and Dad. There is storytime, a Christmas craft, and a Christmas carol singalong. Finish breakfast with a photo op with Santa Clause to take home! Coming up this Easter is Bunnypalooza! Bunnypalooza will include the Amazement Park, Easter egg hunts, petting zoos (with baby farm animals!), fishing, and duck races!
During First Monday Trade Days, you can head down to The Mountain! Here you can enjoy the live country music, played Cline and Miller on Cline’s Corner. Additionally, you can hear a variety of other country music artists, all who you can scoot your boots to on their brand new concrete dance floor. Live artists are placed around The Mountain, so that no matter where you are, you can listen to sweet country music. Every Saturday and Sunday of First Monday Trade Days, watch the Texicans perform a live gunfight. If you need a quick bite to eat, try the Circle the Wagon Cafe. The cafe serves both breakfast and dinner. On the menu is steak, hand breaded chicken strips, Cajun hamburger steak, hand sliced french fries or baked potato, salad bar, and several different desserts. There are also a few small shops and six inns, especially for vendors over First Monday Trade Days.
